Beta
Analytics that starts when it is allowed to.
Whether Google Analytics is installed directly or through a tag manager, DotCensus holds it until the analytics category is permitted and communicates the state through Consent Mode.
i
Status today: In beta through the Consent Mode and tag-manager paths.
What it is
Google's website analytics product, which sets its own cookies and is the single most common reason a site needs a consent layer at all.
What DotCensus controls
- Analytics held until its category is allowed
- analytics_storage signalled through Consent Mode
- Cookies inventoried and categorized from the scan
- Disclosure generated from the confirmed inventory
How it is installed
- Connect the site and run a scan so the Analytics cookies are inventoried
- Confirm the analytics category mapping
- Install the runtime ahead of the Analytics tag
How you verify it
- Pre-consent testing shows no Analytics request before a decision
- Accepted-state scan shows it firing normally
Limits worth knowing
- Server-side or first-party proxied analytics may not be interceptable from the browser; those need explicit configuration

Start with a scan of what your website loads today. The list is usually longer than the team expects, and that is the useful part.
